 Organizations today are being asked to do more with less. Prioritizing where capital is allocated, and determining which projects will get the green light, is becoming more and more challenging as cash and other resources become more scarce. One way organizations approach this challenge is through the use of financing. Spreading the cost of a project, equipment, or investment over time through financing can conserve cash today while allowing these investments to move forward. In this presentation, we will discuss some common, and less common, ways that originations across the spectrum use to finance capital projects, and some of the various advantages and pitfalls that financing entails.”


About the Speaker:

Steve Kinnear

As a member of Johnson Controls’ Structured Finance team, Steve manages traditional and alternative transactions for private sector customers. He administers JCI’s vendor finance program, which helps enable owner direct retrofit projects across JCI’s multiple brands. Steve also structures and manages alternative arrangements to traditional debt, in cases where Johnson Controls is guaranteeing savings or the performance of the project. 

Steve joined JCI Structured Finance with a background in asset based lending and captive vendor finance, and has 12 years of experience in the finance industry
